About youte+ job system
There are limits to how much data you can get out of YouTube Data API at one time. youte+ job system is our way of handling large data retrieval.
Some data, such as comments, can take a while to be retrieved, especially in large quantities. With these kinds of data, you can send a job to retrieve the data. We'll let you know once your data are ready to be downloaded.
How do I know if I am sending a job?
First, you will need to sign in. Having an account is how we keep track of your jobs and notify you when there are data to be downloaded. The process of signing up and logging in is simple and does not require any personal or sensitive information except your YouTube API key. For the best user experience, we recommend you to create an account.
In fact, in the current version, there are some data you cannot retrieve without having account, including comments.
If you are sending a job, you will receive a message saying that a job has been created, along with its unique identifier or ID. While there are jobs running, you will see an hourglass icon in the top right.
Once a job has finished running and returned data, you will see the bell icon change, showing the number of jobs that have ready results. Go to My jobs to download data and check status of other jobs.
(Important!) Data governance and storage
According to YouTube API's Developer Policies, all data retrieved from YouTube Data API are stored for a maximum of 30 days, after which they will need to be deleted. In compliance with this, we will delete job data after 30 days, meaning you won't be able to download the data once it's gone. Therefore, make sure that you download the data as soon as they are ready.
